In 2009 , the only 3 galleries in Jackson had closed. There was a need for artists to have a place to show their work and come together to support each other in their creative endeavors. At that time the Lord led Laurie Denbrock and Mary Spellings to open a co-operative gallery in Casey Jones Village, Jackson Tennessee. The mission of Artists in the Village is "to share the love of Jesus Christ through the visual arts". For almost 15 years we have been the place where people from all over the Unites States and the world, could enjoy viewing, participating, and owning original art. We have been the place to offer creative advice and encouragement. We have been the place where people could come and make art and forget the cares of a hectic life.We have been host to events for many with special needs. We have been healing to many hearts, through Art.
We offer a wide range of programs for people of all ages and skill levels, including art workshops, and exhibitions. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, there is something for everyone at Artists in the Village.
Since our founding, we have made a significant impact in our community. We have provided opportunities for artists to exhibit their work, connected artists with each other, and brought the arts to underserved communities.
At Artists in the Village, we are dedicated to promoting the arts and fostering creativity in our community. Our mission is to provide accessible cultural experiences that enrich and inspire.
At Artists in the Village, our vision is to be the leading organization in our region for promoting and celebrating the arts. We strive to create a welcoming and inclusive community that values creativity and artistic expression.
