One-of-a-Kind Art for a Home That Inspires.
Anna Holmes creates art that feels like a breath of fresh air—quiet, nature-inspired landscapes and seascapes that offer a pause in a busy world. Originally from Poland, Anna lived in England for two decades before moving to Henderson, Tennessee, where she now shares a creative life and studio with her husband, fellow artist Chris Holmes. The two met while training together as certified Bob Ross instructors.
Anna’s artistic journey began in childhood, always drawing, painting, and expressing. Though she was accepted into an art university, life led her down a different path for a time—one that expanded her skills in computer studies and professional photography. Over the years, photography became her lens for composition and color, and today, those images from across the world serve as a deep well of inspiration for her paintings.
She works primarily in oil using the wet-on-wet technique—drawn to the freedom of finishing a painting in one expressive session. She also experiments with relief printing, watercolor, and acrylics, always guided by the mood of the moment and a love for nature’s quiet detail.
Anna’s work is created in Serenity in Color, the Henderson studio she shares with Chris. It’s also their teaching space, where she offers Bob Ross-style landscape and seascape painting classes. Her paintings are reflections of her own journey toward slower living—an invitation for the viewer to pause, breathe, and notice the small things.
Her work has been exhibited at the Henderson BBQ Festival and featured in British Vogue, Bold Journey Magazine, and Tennessee Highlighter. Her paintings live in private collections across England, Poland, the U.S., and Brazil.
“What I love most about being an artist is the freedom and flow. The world just disappears when you’re free to create—and at the end, maybe you even have something beautiful to share.”
