Meet - Jette Garner

I'm so grateful to be a part of Art in the Village. Being an artist has been my passion since childhood, and it's truly a gift to be surrounded by so many other creative souls. I grew up in Denmark with a supportive family that encouraged my sister and me to follow our creative dreams. I was also lucky to have access to some of the world's greatest art museums in Europe and wonderful art teachers throughout my schooling. After I moved to the US and got married, I met two talented painters, Sherry Murray and Janice Sumer, who took me under their wing and shared their vast knowledge.

My background in the arts has given me the skills to create in a variety of mediums, including painting, sculpting, and ceramics. I enjoy exploring new and challenging techniques and finding unexpected ways to express my artistic vision. My art is often inspired by nature, history, and my personal experiences. I love using vibrant colors and bold brushstrokes to capture the essence of my subjects and evoke an emotional response from the viewer. I've been honored to receive awards for my work, and my art is now in collections all over the globe. I hope my creations bring as much joy to people as they do to me.
